Welcome to the 2016 Holiday Shopping Guide. Here you will find items to satisfy everyone on your shopping list, and you can do it by shopping locally! We at Macaroni Kid encourage you to shop local for a few reasons.

By shopping locally, more money stays in our community. Local business owners tend to invest more in our local community than big box stores do. Who sponsors your child's little league team? Have you ever noticed the ads in the playbills of your high school drama productions? They are from business owners right here in Montgomery County. Plus, most local business owners live in the communities they work in, so they see first hand what is needed to make Montgomery County better, and they help to fill those needs when they can.

This year's Holiday Shopping Guide is set up a little different than in years past. Not only are we highlighting some local businesses, but we are also featuring products from those businesses and suggesting who they are best suited for. Our Holiday Shopping Guide will continue to run through Christmas, so feel free to check back often as you add more friends and family members to your shopping list.

In the coming weeks, we will highlight items that make great gifts for specific people on your shopping list, such as those who like to travel, wine lovers and the person who has everything! Check out the articles and follow us on FacebookTwitterInstagram and Pinterest for great gift ideas! And in December we will be featuring some giveaways as part of our Holiday Gift Guide, so mark your calendars for December 5, when that will begin.

When you shop from the following businesses, make sure to mention that you saw them and their products here in Macaroni Kid, too!
