It's almost that time of year....spring has sprung and warm weather is sure to follow!  One of our favorite parts about summer is all of the unique and fun summer camp options available in our area!  Whether you're looking for sleep-away, day camp, dance, arts and crafts, religiously based, special needs, or evening hour camp experiences below are some of our favorites we just had to share.  Adventure is out there, everyone!   



Summer Fun Camp at Connections Church

Join us for our new, adventurous theme, Mount Everest, where we'll discover together how to face challenges with God's mighty power! This year, we have more CAMPS than ever before, new worship songs, great lessons with puppets and characters, and most importantly, we'll be "climbing" into God's Word! Our camps this year are Soccer, Basketball, Flag Football, Art, S.T.E.M., Cooking, Karate and Pre-K... with a grand total of 8 camps, there's a place for EVERYONE!


Dates & Times: June 24-27. This is an evening camp from 6:00pm to 8:15pm.  


Age Range: 3-12

The Dance Effect Performing Arts Center

Dance the summer away with Miss Angelica and friends!  Each week campers will experience a new theme while dancing crafting and prop making, putting on a performance and enjoying delicious snacks along the way! 


Dates/Time/Themes: There are two camp session times 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm

         June 10-14- Baby Shark Adventure

        Join us as we dive into the ocean and meet some shark friends! We'll learn some hip-hop                  moves and get to tumble a little bit too! 

         June 24-28- Out of the Toy Box, A Toy Story Camp

           Join Woody, Buzz and all your favorite toys as we dance our way through a toy land                            adventure!  We'll even get a special treat from Pizza Planet!

         July 8-12- JOJO Dance Party

        Join us for a hip hop dance party - glitter and bows included! It's like all our favorite things in           one package.  We'll get to star in our very own music video too!         

         July 22-26- Mermaids, Fairies, and Unicorns, Oh My!

         Travel to a magical meadow with us where fairies flutter about, unicorns prance in the fields             and mermaids swim by the beach nearby!

         August 5-9 - Star Wars Padawon Training Camp 

         We'll learn the Jedi Code, practice lightsaber making and train in dance defense (the best                 way to win in a lightsaber fight!). We'll do a little bit of hip-hop and a little bit of tumbling to               make sure we're in tip-top shape! 


Age Range: Two age groups 3-5 and 6-8

I Heart Art Workshop Summer Camp

Summer with I Heart Art Workshop is filled with creative magic and tons of joy! Join us for one of our fun filled themed weeks and bring out the artist in your child! 

Dates/Time/Theme: All camp sessions are Mon-Thurs 9am-12pm

        

  • JUNE 17-20 | Where the Wild Things Are (ages 3-10) - We will be getting a little WILD with plants and animals and all things nature!
  • JULY 8-11 | Wizardry (ages 3-10) - Become a sorcerer! Cook up some potions, cast some spells, and create some magical art!
  • JULY 22-25 | Leo’s Legacy (ages 6-10) - This week will be all things Leonardo DaVinci! We'll crack the codes, build some planes, and create some art that will go down in history!
  • AUG 5-8 | Shipwrecked! (ages 3-10) Calling all mermaids and pirates! We'll need to get a little creative in order to survive,...and we might even find some treasure in the process! .


Age Range: 3-10, except the week of July 22, which is only 6 -10

Innabah Camp and Retreat Center

Innabah is excited to celebrate our 91st year of camping ministry in 2019! Here at Innabah, our mission is to provide experiences that last a lifetime in an environment where campers and guests can make new friends, challenge themselves, and explore and grow in their faith.  Innabah is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association, which means that we have met over 300 standards of safety, programming, and operation to ensure that your campers have an optimal experience during their time with us. Located in beautiful Chester County on 179 acres, Innabah Camp and Retreat Center offers a wide range of camping and retreat opportunities. With French Creek weaving its way through our property, it truly is a place to get away from it all. From the rustic Outpost Cabins in the woods to our hilltop cabins (with electricity) to our heated and air conditioned lodges (with living spaces and meeting rooms), there is something here for everyone.  Innabah is the perfect place for campers young and old to explore their faith and have fun doing it!  Our goals for your camper Learn about God’s love and how He guides their lives Opportunities for new adventures and experiences Value themselves and the world in which they live Experience a safe environment and a strong Christian community


Dates and Themes: This is an overnight camp experience with full and half weeks available June 23rd through August 9th.  Innabah is proud to offer camp sessions for persons with special needs which are highlighted in purple.  Themed weeks include:

        

  • Aqua Blast - June 23-28; For children having completed 3rd-6th grade. Aqua Blast is for anyone who loves to get wet and be in the water. We will do all the normal water activities like canoeing, swimming, and a creek walk, along with lots of other fun water games in and out of the pool! We’ll also discover how water is so important in our Christian faith by keeping cool in order to be coo
  • Connecting Pieces - June 23-28For individuals with high functioning Autism and Asperger’s syndrome, ages 12-25.  Connecting Pieces is an overnight camp for individuals with high functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome. Campers will participate in traditional camp activities, such as but not limited to: Bible studies, swimming, canoeing, hiking, gaga, cook-outs, nature lessons, arts and crafts, archery, and the challenge course. Campers may take one offsite day trip to a location that is TBD. Campers must be flexible, independent with self-help skills (such as showering, dressing, eating, using the bathroom), and be able to share living quarters with staff and other campers. This camp is designed to meet the specialized needs of young people living on the Autistic spectrum
  • Challenge Bethany - June 23-25 and  July 28-Aug 2-  For persons age 40 and older Challenge Bethany is for our older or less physically abled campers. Campers will enjoy all the regular camping activities, like swimming, Bible Study, and Arts and Crafts, but at a very slow pace. Campers will reside in Bethany Lodge. 
  • Experiments and Explosions - June 30-July 5- For children having completed 5th-8th grade. Do you like to build things? What about blowing them up? Experiments and Explosions is the camp for you! This camp is designed for the inventor in you. In addition to all the regular fun camp activities like swimming and canoeing, you will have the opportunity to be creative and learn by doing. Come experience all the fun that can be had when you put your hands to work building something you design. It’s going to be epic!
  • Grandparents and Me - June 30-July 2; July 3-5; July 14-16; July 17-19; Aug 4-6; Aug 7-9- Grandparents with grandkids 5-12 yrs old.  Limited to 2 children per adultThese half week camps are a special time for grandparents to spend quality time with their grandchildren. Activities are designed to help build bonds together while experiencing all that camp has to offer. There will be a daily swim, crafts, singing, Bible For children ages 4-7, nature activities, and games. Campers will stay in Bethany Lodge.
  • Challenge Outpost - June 30-July 5  For persons age 12 and older Challenge Outpost is a very active session. Campers reside in Innabah’s rustic Outpost cabins. Campers enjoy all the regular camp activities, such as Bible Study, swimming, canoeing, creek walks, arts and crafts, and archery.
  • Challenge Hilltop - June 30-July 5 and Aug 4-9For persons age 12 and older. Challenge Hilltop campers reside in Innabah’s Hilltop Cabins and enjoy traditional camp activities such as archery, games in the gym, and swimming. A day trip to a local attraction is also included in this camping experience. 
  •  Music and Drama - July 7-10- For children having completed 3rd-8th grade. During this session, campers will learn songs to sing and to ring on hand bells, dance routines, and dramatic skits. Regular camp activities, like swimming, canoeing, and Bible time, will be part of the schedule, too. On Wednesday evening, family members are invited to join us for a musical presentation.
  • Soccer Camp - July 7-10- For children having completed 5th-8th grade. Soccer Camp is designed for players of all levels who want to learn and improve their fundamental soccer skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Campers are given the opportunity to participate in skills session, scrimmages, and games, as well as all the other activities camp as to offer. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a novice just starting out join us for a fun filled week of camp!
  • Challenge Music and Drama - July 7-10- For persons age 12 and older Singing, playing musical instruments, and performing skits are on the schedule for this halfweek camp. Campers will stay in Bethany Lodge as they participate in regular camp activities and prepare a musical presentation to share with family and friends Wednesday night.
  • Archery Camp - July 14-19. For children having completed 5th-8th grade. If you’re aiming for a great summer, Archery Camp is your target! During this week, campers will participate in lots of archery, along with a full range of camp activities. This week involves an exciting off-site trip perfect for any young archer. No matter the experience level, Archery Camp is for everyone! Bows and Arrows, we love Bows and Arrows. Bows and Arrows, sign up for Archery Camp!
  • Around the World - July 14-19- For youth having completed 7th-11th grade. Around the World gives campers the ability to see how colorful God’s world can be. Campers have the opportunity to become adventurous world explorers right in our own backyard. Every day will be spent experiencing cultures from around the world through creating beautiful art, going on a safari, eating delicious food, playing fun games, and making music. Pack your bags and get ready for an adventure!
  • Little Minnows/Big Bass - July 14-19. For children having completed 4th-6th grade (Little Minnows) or 7th through 10th grade (Big Bass). Throw out your line and see what bites! Discover what tugs on your hook on the shores of French Creek and take day trips to local waterways to give you the best shot at catching a wide variety of fish. Learn basic fishing techniques through hands-on instruction
  • Challenge Outpost Adventure- Juy 14-19-  For persons age 12 and older. This week of camp is very active as we participate in all camp activities and enjoy a full-day or overnight trip. Camp activities include Bible time, swimming, canoeing, lots of walking, arts and crafts, group games, and delicious food. Campers and counselors sleep in the bunk beds of the Outpost area.
  • Parents and Me - July 21-23- For adults and children up to age 8. A half-week of quality & quantity time for parents and their children, 8 years-old and younger. We stay in Bethany Lodge, eat all meals in the dining hall, and participate in all camp activities. We have Bible time, we swim, canoe, play mini-golf, visit the store, enjoy a hayride, and meet new friends. The schedule allows for individual needs of the children, including nap time and earlier bedtime than most campers. One parent may attend with one or two children. Two parents may come with one child or more
  • Children's Hilltop - July 21-26- For children having completed 3rd-6th grade. Children’s Hilltop is an Innabah tradition! This camp has everything you can think of to make your camp experience one you will remember for a lifetime. Spark your creativity with arts and crafts, burn off some energy playing games in the field, cook your own meal over an open fire, and cool off every day in our pool. 
  • Youth Hilltop - July 21-26- For youth having completed 7th-10th grade J Want to spend the week hanging out with your friends? Looking to make some new ones? Look no further! Junior High Hilltop will give you everything you need to build those relationships and have a ton of fun doing it! Go for a swim, conquer team building challenges, explore the woods, play gaga, basketball, and much more! An off-site trip may be part of this session. Grow closer to God and have fun doing it! 
  • Young Children's 1st Experience - July 28-30 and July 31-Aug 2- For children having completed 1st-3rd grade. Want to fit a week’s worth of fun into half the time? This camp is for you! Sleep in our cabins, go on a hayride, have Bible study time, swim in our pool, and much more! Young Children’s is designed to give each camper a traditional camp experience, but for only half a week.
  • Outdoor Explorers - July 28-Aug 2- For children having completed 3rd-6th grade. Explore the outdoors of Camp Innabah as we hike, canoe, fish, learn to build fires, do nature activities, hunt for treasures, sleep out in a tent, and more! Enjoy preparing some of your own meals while in the Outpost.
  • Challenge Bethany Adventure- July 28-Aug 2-  For persons age 12 and older. Challenge Bethany Adventure campers will reside in Bethany Lodge. Campers will enjoy traditional camp activities such as Arts and Crafts, Bible Study, games and boating. A special on-site activity will be included during this week
  • Dance Camp - Aug 4-9- For children having completed 4th-8th grade. Whether you have danced your whole life or never put on a pair of dance shoes, come join us for a fun week of camp! Campers will have the opportunity to work on various techniques, explore new styles of dance and movement, as well as learn and perform a choreographed piece to present on Friday evening for family and friends. This camp session will also allow time for all the other fun activities and adventures summer camp has to offer, like, swimming, boating, archery, hayrides, camp fires, & much more.
  • Night Camp - Aug 4-9- For youth having completed 8th-12th grade. Is your natural bedtime 3 AM? Do you “color outside the lines?” At Night Camp, you can experience God’s creation by the glow of the moon, while learning to use your senses other than sight. Cook all your own meals by campfire and enjoy the unique experience of playing new and camp classic games in the dark. You will come to Night Camp and meet new friends, but you will leave with a family. For nights filled with adventure and days filled with sleep, come join us at Night Camp
  • Dance Camp DEMI’S- Aug 4-9- For children having completed 9th-12th grade.  If you have a passion for dance and want to share it with those younger than you this session is for you. DEMI’S will be working and dancing with our Dance Camp session. Through this experience you will be able to participate in everything summer camp has to offer as well as assist younger dancers while they develop their technique. 


Age Range: 0-120 (see above for session requirements)


Location: 712 Pughtown Road, Spring City


Cost:  1/2 week camps are between $150-$215; full week camps are between $250-$540; sibling discount of $50 for the first child, $75 for the second, $100 for the third; summer camp scholarships are available for those with financial needs

Stony Creek Day Camp and Tracers

Stony Creek Day Camp believes that camp should be more than just daycare.  We subscribe to an “outdoors and active” philosophy that tries to provide an enjoyable experience for every camper.  Activities include sports, arts and crafts, trips, swimming, theme days and special events such as the camp carnival.  With extended hours available via our Kid’s Club program and the always-popular meal plan option, we provide 7 weeks of worry-free care for parents and an unforgettable summer for campers. Trips this year will include favorites such as tubing on the Delaware River, a Phillies Game, SkyZone and Dorney Park as well as new destinations.  Non-Instructional, free swim times will be held at Mermaid Swim Club.  As an extra treat, campers will have the opportunity to purchase Kona Ice every Thursday.


Dates & Times: Monday-Friday, June 17 - August 2, 9 am - 3pm. Before and after care available! 


Age Range: Campers entering grades 1-9 in the 2019-2020 school year
