Tinkergarten is gearing up for winter with a fun new curriculum. This Winter, we'll have a running play theme of SUPERHEROS! Each week we'll explore, learn and play while learning about what superhero powers our animal friends have to survive throughout the winter. As always, our Tinkergarten season will focus on the twelve core skills designed to get your child ready for life, ready to learn, and ready for anything. This fall the focus skills are PERSISTENCE and GRIT, skills we'll be using as we learn and play #outdoorsall4. Your child will have the best time creating, playing, discovering, and unwittingly LEARNING in class!
Tinkergarten is a unique parent child class because the play is child led. There is a curriculum- meaningful learning takes place, children build social, emotional, and executive functioning skills which will help prepare them for school, but it doesn't FEEL like class. Research shows real learning takes place through play and joyful discovery and that's EXACTLY what explorers (kids) and guides (adults) will find in a Tinkergarten class. Best of all classes take place in you local park so you get high quality time with your child in the best classroom of all... nature!
The 6 week Winter Session begins February 4th in Black Rock Park.
