Throughout the year, Macaroni KID brings you the inside scoop on all things local- now it's your turn to tell us YOUR favorite local spots! We want to know where your family loves to hang out, eat, pamper yourselves, and everything in between.
We're launching 2024 Family Favorite Awards for Macaroni KID Southern Montgomery and we need your help!
What are Family Favorite Awards?
It's no secret we love small businesses here at Macaroni KID and we're looking for a way to recognize all the hard work, dedication, and services they provide to our community. Family Favorite Awards will be given to businesses in a variety of categories in our area. These awards are given based 100% on number of votes from local families and are a true reflection of our areas most loved businesses and services. Businesses can't pay to be nominated or for votes, so it's all up to their loyal customers to help them win!
How Does it Work?
It's pretty easy!
1). Nominate your favorite local businesses Click here. Feel free to nominate multiple businesses, but only one nomination per e-mail will be accepted.
2).The top 5 businesses nominated in each category will move to the final round.
3). Vote will begin! We'll send out a voting form for you to choose your favorite of the finalists beginning Nov 15th!
4). Winners announced in December!
Why Should I Participate? How Can I Help My Favorites Win?
We all know small businesses are the heart of our community. This is a 100% free opportunity to give your local neighbors a boost. Remember, when you support a local business an actual person does a little happy dance- imagine what it would mean to a business to receive the honor of "Most Loved Local Business"! In addition to helping businesses, participation helps out fellow parents. Families looking for a great pediatrician, take out spot, or story time rely on the recommendations of others- share your favorite hidden gems!
Nominating a business is step one to helping them be crowned "Family Favorite", but you can also help by sharing out this contest with family and friends, posting to your social media (tag the business so they know you're thinking of them!), and clue in any local business owners you may know so they can reach out to their customer base for support!
What's In It For the Winning Businesses?
- Yearlong listing in our Business Directory
- Paper certificate for display and digital award winner image
- Inclusion in the article and social media postings announcing the winners
- Entered to win an advertising package valued at $450! All winners will be entered and one chosen at random!
- The honor of being recognized as one of our areas Most Loved Businesses
I'm a Business Owner, What Should I Do?
1). Nominate yourself! Don't be shy, someone has to get the ball rolling.
2). Share out this contest on your social media channels. It's free to nominate and nominators can choose to opt in or out of the Macaroni KID weekly e-mails. Which means they can simply nominate you and never hear from us again (sad, but true!).
3). Reach out to your contacts for support with nominations.

Timeline:
- Oct 29th - Nominations open
- Nov 14th (11:59pm EST) nominations close
- Nov 15th Finalists announced (top 5 nominees in each category). Voting begins.
- Nov 30th (11:59pm EST) voting closes
- Dec 2nd winners announced
Rules:
- One nomination per business per e-mail address. You may nominate multiple businesses, but duplicate nominations for one business from the same email will not be counted.
- Business must be local to Southern Montgomery & Northern Chester counties; including, but not limited to: Phoenixville, Pottstown, Gilbertsville, Skippack, Royersford, Collegeville, Limerick, Trappe, Plymouth Meeting, King of Prussia, Valley Forge, Skippack, Blue Bell, Norristown, East Norriton, West Norriton, Eagleville, Conshohocken, Layfette Hill, Pottstgrove, Sanatoga, North Coventry & Schwenksville.
- Macaroni Kid confirms AND validates each email to ensure authenticity. We reserve the right to eliminate votes that are deemed to be invalid or have interfered with the fair administration of this contest.
