Have You Heard of Life Essentials® ?

 Being a parent is not easy.  We go from feeding, burping, and changing babies, to colors, shapes, and ABCs, throw in please & thank-yous, sharing with friends, don't forget refining fine motor skills, negotiating healthy meal options, and making sure they get time to r-u-n; before you know it, you've turned around and they're five!  We all want to make sure our kids are well-rounded and nurtured. We want them to be confident in their academic skills, well versed in social skills, expressive in their creativity, joyous in their play, and healthy. It can be a daunting task, especially given the extraordinary year we've just been through.  Thankfully, child educators have a pretty good handle on how to navigate these waters. Our friends at Kiddie Academy of Royersford would like to invite your preschooler to participate in the Life Essentials® program. 

Kiddie Academy of Royersford prides itself on meeting each child where they are developmentally and fostering growth using their proven Life Essentials^® curriculum.  The program has four major pillars: Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum, Technology Education, Health & Fitness, and Character Essentials- the teaching staff uses these core components to guide children in their development from infancy through Kindergarten.  

Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum

• Each classroom is outfitted with different equipment, specifically chosen for the age of the students.
• Preschool rooms have a variety of "centers" housing different learning activities.  Students will rotate to each throughout the day
• STEM activities and games are a part of daily learning.  
• Music & More allows all ages to have music time, express themselves creatively, and work on fine motor skills.
• Standards-based curriculum- meets or exceeds state requirements for all development stages. 

Technology Education

• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) plays a larger role in our world and education than ever before.  That's why STEM is an essential role in the Life Essentials^® curriculum and incorporated daily. 
• Computer literacy is important.  Some concepts are introduced using technology to make learningmore engaging and fun.
• Students learn to become familiar with basic technology in an effort to prepare them for our tech-filled world.

Health & Fitness

• Outdoor time daily (when possible)
• Development of gross motor skills (jumping, running, hopping)
• Learning about healthy food choices and promoting good hygeine
• Parenting Essentials newsletter provided to encourage healthy habits at home as well.
• Safety precautions in place to protect staff & students from Covid-19

Character Essentials^®

• Social skills.  
• Manners 
• Cornerstones of being a good citizen like respect, compassion, friendship & sharing.
