One of the best things about music is it's versatility; from various genres, abilities, and even equipment- humans of all ages and cultures have been creating sweet music for thousands of years. So it should come as no surprise then, that Community Music School (CMS) in Trappe, a non-profit aimed at serving the community, does just that- offers something for everyone in the community. From toddlers to seniors- and everyone in-between- there's something for you at CMS.
The sheer number of class offerings is impressive: Musikgarten Classes for young children, private lessons (in-person or virtual) for every age and ability, ensemble and band opportunities, and the Suzuki Academy, which is an in-depth musical education involving both parent and child. These programs offer a wide range of age and ability levels, but also participation commitments- there are classes for casual learning as well as those looking to seriously immerse themselves in an instrument.
Community Music School is now enrolling for fall! Musicgarten classes are filling up quickly, parents of toddlers will want to act quickly to get in on all the moving and shaking this season. If your child is interested in pursuing the cello, violin, or viola you'll want to consider the Suzuki Academy which runs from September through June. It mixed the world-renound Suzuki teaching method with traditional music education to give an in-depth and well-rounded education.
