As we know, food waste is a huge problem. What if you could help the planet by fighting food waste and make your life a little easier this winter? Hungry Harvest offers farm-fresh produce and other grocery staples such as bread, eggs, snacks and more delivered right to your door! Being a part of a waste-free future has never been easier! Plus, new customers save 50% off their first Harvest. Visit www.hungryharvest.net and use code MOMBLOG at checkout. Offer valid for one-time use, new customers only. Expires 1/20/2023.

Hungry Harvest provided me with compensation and box of product to facilitate this review. As always, my opinions are 100% my own.

Hungry Harvest delivers fresh produce right to my door weekly. This frees up my schedule quite a bit since I can cut down on going to the store for shelf-stable items and proteins (which I can freeze if necessary) to once or twice a month instead of weekly.

What I love even more is that it is easy. Like "set it and forget it" easy. To start, I made an account and set my preferences for both size of delivery and frequency. Next, I selected up to six items my family loves and six items I don't want to ever see in a box (I'm looking at you, radishes). Finally, I checked out and waited for delivery day. It took less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

My Hungry Harvest box arrived on Sunday, as requested, and the Sunday after, and so on. All without me lifting a finger. I've tried grocery delivery services in the past, but found I spent a significant amount of time scrolling through options or would get to the checkout only to find some items were unavailable and I'd need to choose substitutes. Hungry Harvest eliminates the work and you'll be surprised each delivery with quality produce to enjoy!

At first I was a little nervous about not knowing what to expect each delivery. However, it was actually very fun. Getting unexpected items gave us a chance to be a bit more creative in the kitchen. We made a winter roasted hash of beets, squash, and onions. We elevated breakfast with sweet potato hash topped with avocados and "dippy" eggs, made an avocado mousse to accompany a tuna meal, and caramelized pears to top ice cream for movie night. We chopped up mushrooms and peppers to make mom feel better about serving pizza without a healthy side dish, and of course, happily snacked on oranges, mangos, and pears.

To be honest, the cabbage was a bit of a challenge. We made coleslaw with red bell peppers, but still had more. Then I remembered a family favorite – my grandmother's stuffed cabbage rolls! They were delicious and took me on a trip down memory lane I would have missed out on if I hadn't had extra cabbage to use.

In addition to being incredibly easy, I also appreciate Hungry Harvest's mission to help the planet by delivering quality, sustainable food that cuts down on waste. By delivering surplus seasonal items Hungry Harvest helps fight food-waste, supports farms, and our local delivery drivers. As much as I love convenience, I am also thrilled to help out in this mission, giving new meaning to food I can feel good about.

I know some of you may be thinking, "that's great, but how much does this convenience cost?!" Delivery subscriptions start at just $15/box and have a wide variety of sizes as well as organic options. I chose the Super Harvest, which is the largest option. It's a mix of fruits and veggies and is recommended for 4-6 people – I may be switching to the Full Harvest ($25/box) because we get so much in the Super Harvest, and while my girls are good eaters, they're maybe not "super" just yet!

Additionally, there are veggie-only and mini harvest options ($15/box). Pictured below are two Super Harvest boxes, each is $33 and delivered to your door. Personally, I appreciate the value Hungry Harvest provides – if you add up the cost of these items at the store, you'd be at (or over $33) and then you'd still have to take the time to shop and drive it home!

Hungry Harvest has been a great option for our busy family. With organic options, unique pantry items, three box sizes, and delivery frequency options ranging from every week to once a month, I'm sure there is an option just right for your family. Try it out and unbox a little inspiration this winter.
