Why We're a Kiddie Academy Family

One Real Mom's Experience with Kiddie Academy Phoenixville

May 12, 2022

When Donna had her first child in 2014, daycare wasn't exactly the plan.  As a full time working mother, she thought a nanny would best suit her family's needs.  Flash forward to the hiring process and it just wasn't working out- finding quality consistent care was proving to be harder than imagined!  It was time to pivot- reliable care was a top priority and maternity leave was quickly running out.  Donna enrolled her daughter at the Kiddie Academy of Phoenixville as an infant.  Cut to seven years later- that girl will be enjoying another year of Camp Ventures with Kiddie Academy and her two younger siblings still attend KA full time.  Three kids and seven years of care make them a happy Kiddie Academy Family.

I had a chance to ask Donna "why?" What is it about Kiddie Academy that you love?  In seven years you've never changed it up- why is that? Her answer was simple.. "we love it there."  From the staff to the curriculum she's confident her kids are well loved, cared for, and learning well ahead of the curve.  Mostly though, it's the teachers.  "It's the teachers that make a big difference to me.  They hire people I can tell want to be there and care about my kids."

I had a chance to ask about the Life Essentials curriculum Kiddie Academy is famous for and she just gushed.  The curriculum always has them doing something new learning about the world around us and- as far as traditional academics go- it's top notch.   "After completing (the program), my kids are well prepared for Kindergarten .  I've had no worries about sending any of my kids to kindergarten, especially when it came to reading and writing.  They were so well prepared."  Donna's oldest is now thriving academically in 2nd grade, a bit part of an easy transition she credits to Kiddie Academy's preparation.

Then we got into what her kids like about their school.  She talked about just how much they've experienced and found it hard to narrow down the possibilities.  "They're just always doing something" she said.  The summer program- Camp Ventures- includes field trips; in the past they've gone to movies at Colonial Theatre, mini golfing, bowling, and more. Every Friday during the summer is a water day and the Kona Ice truck has been know to pop by as well. Round that out with special program and visitors such as Magic Shows and Petting Zoos and it's easy to see why all her kids have been so happy there over the years.

Kiddie Academy of Phoenixville is now enrolling for summer Camp Ventures as well as care full-time care and preschool next fall! Make an appointment to visit or chat with their knowledgeable staff and find out if it's a good fit for your family.
