So often, parents of little ones are looking for activities to do together only to find many start at preschool age or are held weekdays only. Which is why it's so exciting when we find something designed just for littles! Kids First Swim School of Plymouth Meeting is under new ownership and ready to welcome your young family into the pool. Mommy/Daddy and me classes are designed just for babies. From ages 2 months through 2 years, your little fishy and you can spend time splashing away in a balmy 90 degree pool.
Most importantly, Parent and Me classes get young children in the water to start learning to swim. Swimming is, of course, not only great fun, but a potentially life saving skill most parents want their children to learn. Babies are well suited to learn swimming at a young age- it's actually not unheard of for toddlers to be swimming around the pool if they've received the correct training! Babies enter the pool with their favorite grown up so they already feel safe and secure. They'll learn the basics of buoyancy, splashing and blowing bubbles with highly trained Kids First swim instructors. Additionally, parents will learn best practices for encouraging and developing swim basics at home. The sweetest part for us parents though will be the bonding and lifelong memories you'll make with your young child. Too often we hear just how quick the time goes- what better way to spend time together each week than doing something your kiddo will love- pool time!
Parent and Me classes are held weekly with the same instructor to establish consistency- vital for young learners! Consistent, weekly classes also give you a chance to meet other local families with kids similar age and establish potential connections and parent friends. Classes are conveniently held on both weekdays and weekends to accommodate your busy schedule and enrollments is based month to month so there is no long term commitments.
