Get Ready for Summer Swimming with Kids First Plymouth Meeting

Now enrolling for weekly classes and SWIM CAMP!

April 28, 2023

Sweet Summertime is just around the corner, which means time to get your child swim ready for the start of the season is running out!  As the days grow longer and kids get excited for summer break parents are busy making summer plans- vacations, summer camps, weekend getaways will make the most of summer '23.  Plenty of summer fun revolves around water and swimming (the best parts!) and Kids First Swim Schools of Plymouth Meeting is here to help get your child ready giving them the skills and convivence to safely navigate the scene and you peace of mind.

Kids First Swim School of Plymouth Meeting uses the tried and true curriculum to help swimmers gain confidence and comfortability in the water, learn essential breathing and floating techniques and, of course, learn to swim independently! To make things easier for parents, they're offering two enrollment options this spring- weekly classes and "swim intensives" which is a one week camp style program.

Weekly Swim Classes offer a traditional approach to swim class. They provide consistency in time, space, and instructor so your child slowly builds their skills each week.  Swimmers are encouraged to practice at home in order to reach their swim goals and move on to the next skill level. The approach is perfect for families who want their children to become acclimated with the water, busy families who can commit to one practice a week, parents of littles who are looking to meet adults of similarly aged children at a parent/child class, or for kids who do best having a space of time between classes to digest information and practice.  Weekly swim classes are available on a rolling admission basis throughout the year.

Swim Intensive classes are a new and exciting option rolling out for spring 2023. With these "camp style" classes swimmers will meet daily (Monday-Friday) for 30 minutes.  By meeting every day for a week, swimmers will quickly build muscle memory and should progress quickly by jumping in the pool to practice.  Swim Intensive is open to swimmers in levels 1-4; which generally applies to swimmers age 3 and up. However, if you have a 2.5 year old who would love this program, private sessions are potentially available.  Swim Intensive is a perfect option for children who just need a quick refresher before the start of summer, kids who thrive in immersive experiences, families who can commit to a week of swim class, kids who love weekly camp style activities or those of us who meant to sign our kids up for swim all spring, but life happens and only have a month to get them pool ready.  Sessions are now available May 15th-19th, but more dates will soon be opening for June.
