On August 6th, communities across the country will be celebrating National Night Out- now in it's 41st year! National Night Out is a unique event aimed at strengthening community by building bonds with the local police force to lower crime & drug use rates. Events are usually held by the police department and feature a night of free family fun for all. These events often showcase emergency vehicles, safety demonstrations, and provide a space for residents to get to know officers. Each community event differs, but most have games, kids activities, music and fun!
