We said dance party! Or, more accurately, my soon to be six year old asked for a "fairy, princess ballerina party". Queue the slight mom panic.... how in the world..... To my absolute delight, I remembered my daughter's dance studio is now offering birthday parties! Just a few clicks and we had one Fairy Princess Ballerina Party in the works!
I can tell you from first hand experience, parties at The Dance Effect are a parent's dream. They are simple to set up, easy to execute, communication was on point, and- best of all- they did it all while we got to enjoy! Parties include a party planner, decorations, party table set up (plates, tablecloth, silverware, etc), and an hour of dance fun in your choice of dance style. We brought our own food, drinks and cake (all of which the party planner helped to set up & distribute to the kids) so we could relax knowing everyone was attended to and the birthday girl was able to enjoy all her favorite foods with friends.
My daughter opted to choose the acro style dance party. Yes, despite wanting a ballerina party, go figure with six year old logic. The dance portion of the party began with group dances and tutus for all who wanted to don one. There was scarf play and songs, and shaking their sillies allllll the way out. The birthday girl's favorite part was when all her friends danced in a "fairy" circle around her sending her birthday wishes; the attention to bringing in the "fairy theme" even into the dances was so appreciated by us! Finally, it was time for the obstacle course and parachute game. Instant hits for all the kids. When all the dancing and games were over, they enjoyed treats and playtime before heading out from the "best party ever".

As a parent, the things I appreciated most about our TDE party were:
1). Attention to detail. The party planner works with you on colors, decor and activities so it's truly customizable for the birthday kiddo.
2). Day of support. Everything was ready to go when we arrived, but the staff jumped in to help us arrange food, drinks, favors and even set up a temporary tattoo station for as the kids arrived. The tattoos we brought & were not part of the party package, but that didn't stop the party staff from jumping in to help out with that as well!
3). Number of kids per party. The party package allows for 12 kids at no additional charge, which is wonderful. There is an option to add on more kids (20 max).
4). Pricing. We all know parties can be expensive, so I was thrilled to find an affordable option. Plus, as an enrolled TDE dancer, we qualified for the reduced rate!
5). It was very hands off for the parents. We were able to hang with the other parents who stayed while the kids were fully entertained!
