A quick note about Covid-19: although parks are open, some restroom facilities and other amenities may not be accessible due to the current pandemic. It's best to contact the township or borough to confirm if these facilities are currently operational if you're planning on using them during your visit.

Parks, trails, and playgrounds are so much fun, but after packing up the kids and the car and finally arriving it's the pits when you realize you're missing something you need. Here are eight items you can store in your trunk to help make park days fun for everyone.
- Old towel for wiping down wet or muddy slides
- Spray bottle of water for hot slides & swings. A bottle of water will work as well!
- Old pants. Sometimes the slides are just too hot for shorts.
- Change of clothes. Messy fun happens, save your seats on the ride home.
- Cheap flip/flops or water shoes for parent & child for when they find a creek to explore.
- Bug spray & sunblock
- Blanket for impromptu picnics
- Wipes and hand sanitizer, especially if you're going to a place with live animals!
🦆 Many of our kids love to feed the ducks and other wildlife. If you're going to bring a snack for them, please keep in mind bread and other "go to" items are not healthy for the animals. 🦆 Here's a list of items to feed ducks via TheSpruce.com:
- Cracked corn
- Wheat, barley, or similar grains
- Oats (uncooked; rolled or quick)
- Rice (plain white or brown, cooked or uncooked, whole or instant)
- Milo seed
- Birdseed (any type or mix)
- Grapes (cut in half or quartered if very large)
- Nut hearts or pieces (any type but without salt, coatings, or flavoring)
- Frozen peas or corn (defrosted, no need to cook)
- Earthworms (fishing bait or dug from the garden)
- Mealworms (fresh or dried)
- Chopped lettuce or other greens or salad mixes
- Vegetable trimmings or peels (chopped into small pieces)
