There are few things my girls love more than a trip to see the animals. Fortunately for us, there are several amazing options nearby. Below are local farms and parks where families are welcome to roam and enjoy animals. Most are free to wander but may offer produce, ice cream, or other treats for sale. Consider supporting these local businesses if you can.
Upper Schuylkill Valley Park- Phoenixville
- Run by Montgomery County- Free Admission
- Variety of animals (wolves, bunnies, bobcat, birds, foxes, etc.)
- No petting or feeding opportunities
Renningers Farm- Royersford
- Family-owned farm, greenhouse, produce stand
- Free to wander
- Cows, goats, chickens, & sheep
- Depending on time of day, there may be food out to feed the cows. Do not bring your own.
Pidegon Creek Farm- Pottstown
- Dairy farm
- Cows & goats
- Sells milk, ice cream, eggs, etc
Merrymead Farms- Lansdale
- Family dairy & produce farm
- Cows, sheep, ducks, chickens, peacocks, binnies, a pig, & a donkey
- Stop by between 3:330-6:00 and observe milking the cows
- Free to wander

Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines- Pottstown
- Horse farm
- Free to wander
- Treats for purchase ($3) to feed the horses- you cannot bring your own anymore.
